Greetings Friends!!
Hello, my name is Rob A. Cunuck, and I will be arriving to Cebu late Monday evening, Feb. 8/10, and departing on March 6th. I'm looking for any and all friendly, experienced advice, suggestion, or, assistance from anyone there in Cebu. I especially need all the help and advice I can getting because I'm travelling with a
"significant handicap." That is to say I'm paralyzed, and in a wheelchair. And I am travelling with my Mexican (ex) brother in-law (if anyone speaks Spanish)? Hablan Espanol anyone? Someone???
I am a C-5 quadriplegic, secondary to a gunshot wound "through" the neck!! I was a "victim of violent crime" after arriving in Los Angeles while on vacation from my home in Vancouver, Canada, shot "accidentally"

by a drunken (idiot) yank back in 12/79. (No offense yanks)!I I now live here in Los Angeles, California and am a "dual" citizen. Therefore, as one might imagine, in my situation I REALLY DO NEED all the help and advice I can get!! (And they say the Philippines is dangerous, Christ what a joke)!!!
I am going to be the PH for the first time, and will be getting married to my fiancee of two & a half+ years. I will be staying in a nice monthly rental in Banilad, but am also "considering" visiting one of the many resorts for a few days here, and a few days there, depending on how the funds hold out. I was looking at a few places in Bohol, Batanyan, and Danao, as they seem very nice, and are a bit less expensive than those on Mactan. But maybe after added travel expense, it's not much difference. Anyone have advice or recommendations? I've been advised to stay on Mactan, but I'm waiting for more info when (Warlord) calls.
I DO realize the PH is NOT a wheelchair accessable country, I AM aware!! I've been to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, up to Myanmar, and have travelled extensively in Mexico (in a wheelchair), so I get the idea. But I can pretty much go anywhere the vehicle I'm in can go. Sure I'm scared, worried & nervous, but I REFUSE to live my life in fear, so,... damn the f#%!ing torpeados (pain & sickness), full steam ahead, fear be damned!! I'm not deaf, dumb, blind, stupid, or dead (YET), so I'll see ya'all in Cebu!!!
Also, if anyone has any advice on how to best and easiest get married? I understand it's easier and cheaper to marry in a small town,... as opposed to in the big city? Oh, also, even though I'm paralyzed I FLOAT!!! If I can find (say a couple of Aussies who are strong swimmers), I WOULD PAY THEM to drag my lame ass into the ocean and go diving!! I LOVE the ocean STILL!!!
ALSO, if anyone can recommend a good doctor there, it WILL help, as I will be (really) NEEDING to get a prescription for some (SERIOUS) medication (i.e. morphine), for pain management!! Any other advice is TOTALLY weclome,... anyone??? Well, I look forward to meeting new friends, or anyone who would like to meet me there, Aussies, Kiwis, Cunucks, Brits, Yanks, Etc. feel free to contact me directly.
Looking forward to hearing from any of you, and thanks in advance for your input & advise.
Best regards,
Rob A.
P.S. Lastly, I am NOT one of your typical Mongers or Whorists, (but I CERTAINLY DO believe even those girls deserve to be treated with "RESPECT")!!! THEREFORE, I DO love these gorgeous, pretty, young girls, which I suppose qualifies me as a dirty old man!! Which is a badge I'm damn proud of too!! Whatever people think, be damned!!! IF we are happy who the F cares what people think?!! So I AM looking for fine young Filipina ladies (if you know any), as is my lovely (VERY BI-curious)fiancee!! Therefore, we would BOTH enjoy meeting attractive, single young ladies,... if any might be reading this!! She informs me she would enjoy celebrating our bachalor / bachalorette party TOGETHER with ALL girls!! Now tell me, doesn't that sounds like fun??? Suggestions or advice anyone???
